Hi! This is Aequitas.
Preface
Hi! This is Aequitas.
Please don’t be intimidated by this Latin word from Greece and the inherent intricacy it seems to suggest. That’s not me, I promise.
Perhaps I should introduce myself first.
My name comes from Veritas Aequitas, the name of the goddess of justice in Ancient Greek mythology. The word before me is carved into the logo of Harvard University, while I’m the less known one beside her. I resemble equity, symmetry, and perhaps a little stubbornness of unbiases.
This is not a collection of ancient Greek mythology, nor a motto from the Boondock Giants. If you ask me, I’d say this is a storage of pieces excerpted from the hundreds of years of law, or the place to pour out random ideas. This is the documentation of a stumbling kid in this old and insightful subject, a soul that holds infinite curiosity of the sphere of unknown. I also want people to know that law is not only the typesetting in old pages or sophisticated language and logic, but also the most common stories of the most common people, the smell of dripping rosin and afternoon sun, and the darkness and glories behind the bars.
